No, more than that even \u2026 veritable edifices behind the eyeballs \u2026 caste in the cortex \u2026 mezuzhas on the pyramids of Betz \u2026 crystalline \u2026 comparable in their bizarre refinements to medieval Scholasticism\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>With regards to \u201cLichtenstein&#8217;s blowups of panels from war comics and love comic&#8217;s and Andy Warhol&#8217;s Campbell&#8217;s Soup cans and Brillo boxes\u201d, Wolf stresses what Lawrence Alloway &#8211; the English scholar who coined the term \u201cpop art\u201d &#8211; said: they were not representations of external reality, but sign systems of the American culture.
