Frieze Art Fair 2013: day third, a refreshing visit at the Sunday Art Fair

Art trotters know that most of the time a visit to secondary art fair is just a time loss. But this is not the case of Sunday Art Fair 2013. Here no traditional booths, no big sharks, no pretentious dealers, no expensive restaurants. Instead, you will find some talented artist, some passionate young gallerists and good vibes.

Ross Iannatti, born 1988, presents a series of two dimensional works titled “Hysteresis” made of stretched airbags extracted from abandoned cars and sewed in a patchwork formation. He is very young, keep an eye on him. All the three works on show are not available anymore.

Katja Novitskova, born 1984, Tallin. At the first glance her works could appear just beautiful objects, but after a while these standing digital prints on aluminum start speaking to you with an unforgettable voice. Also these two works are not available anymore.

Alek O. is born 1981, Buenos Aires. She presents two dimensional silhouette made of fabric taken from umbrellas and parasols. Probably they are not masterpieces, but the process of the making perfectly works as a conceptual frame.

Ella Kruglyanskaya, born 1978, Riga, Latvia. She is with Gavin Brown gallery, so she is not to be considered an emerging artist anymore. Nevertheless try to imagine her works at the MoMa or at the Tate to discover how they could perfectly fit there.
