Peeking into the new building of the Fondation Louis Vuitton, and into its software

Louis Vuitton Foundation’s new building, Paris

Last Monday Conceptual Fine Arts was in Paris, at the Bois de Boulogne, to discover the new building of the Fondation Louis Vuitton – the “magnificent vassel”, as architect Frank Gehry called it. The completion is expected for spring 2014, but the structure seems not far to be ready. Gehry declared that he took inspiration from the Grand Palais’s transparency, and that he kept into consideration the natural environment that surrounds the architecture. Effectively, what we have perceived from the glass cover partially installed, is that Vuitton Foundation is looking for lightness, a kind of symbolic one.

Although there are no official news yet, the curatorial team will include Suzanne Pagé, former director of the Musée d’Art moderne de la Ville de Paris, Sophie Durrleman, former Conseillère en charge des musées et du patrimoine per il Ministère de la Culture et de la Communication, and Laurence Bossé.
