Milan, Church of Sant’Angelo: what good is having such treasures if no one can see them?

Milan, Church of Sant’Angelo. The Chapel of St. Anthony is the eighth to the right. Inside the chapel are frescoes depicting the preaching of Sant’Anthony and the miracle of the mule. The frescoes, dating from 1591 are attributed to Ottavio Semini and Simone Peterzano (who was the master of Caravaggio). The chapel is closed by a gate and the sun shines on this only a few hours a day. The Franciscan says that illuminating it with the electric light would cost too much.
